South Bay Parkland Conservancy is teaming up with US Fish and Wildlife Services, LA County Department of Beaches and Harbor, LA Conservation Corps and the City of Redondo Beach to restore habitat for the endangered El Segundo blue butterfly and other native wildlife along the bluffs of Redondo Beach.
This project will maintain existing habitat restoration on the bluffs between Miramar Park and Avenue C and conduct new restoration between Avenue I and Avenue C..Volunteers will be asked to assist with:
Weeding out invasive plants
Installing new native plants (during the rainy season)
Providing supplemental water to newly installed plants, as needed
