Our June chapter meeting will feature an interview with Aaron Kreisberg of Catalina Island Conservancy, a non-profit land trust that stewards Catalina Island’s natural resources through conservation, education, and recreation. The Conservancy is working to defend the island from catastrophic wildfire, protect the island’s soil, re-establish native plants, and restore balance across the the ecosystem by managing invasive species such as deer.
Aaaron Kreisberg has extensive experience with habitat restoration. Since 2023, he has served as Plant Conservation Manager at Catalina Island Conservancy, where he manages invasive species as part of the organization’s long-term native habitat restoration plan.
