At the next meeting of the Los Angeles/Santa Monica Mountains Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, LA Climate Reality Chapter Chair Charles Miller will give a presentation about the native street trees pilot project in the Palms neighborhood we helped launch.

LA’s Urban Forestry division sanctioned the native street trees planting as an experiment.  The trees were planted in 2025 and are being watered by a system of local volunteers with water donated by an adjacent apartment building.
