Urban Agriculture Network

Please join us for the second meeting of the Urban Agriculture Network.

The topic is Been there, done that!

The following activists will be speaking on their inspiring work on urban agriculture initiatives:

Sharonda Allen runs a nonprofit, Operation Grow, and leads youth outreach for the Greater New Jersey Gateway Chapter of Climate Reality, as well maintaining an active involvement in several other organizations.  Building community is the throughline in all her endeavors.

Dalya Massachi is the executive producer and editor of Everyday Climate Champions, a podcast created by Climate Reality Bay Area in California.  In addition to putting out a great podcast, the team has built an enterprising partnership to expand their chapter’s impact.

Joe Roselle founded a new Climate Reality chapter in New Mexico, heads the education arm of an urban agriculture program, and has practical strategies for raising funds, engaging local expertise, and attracting volunteers.

Don Viecelli is the chairperson of the Regenerative Agriculture Campaign for the Chicago Metro Chapter and leads the Regenerative Agriculture Coalition, a national advocacy group that created the Farm Voices video project.

The Urban Agriculture Network is a nationwide forum launched by the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley Climate Reality chapters to discuss urban agriculture as a climate solution.
