On April 30, 2023, the Los Angeles Climate Reality Project held a quarterly in-person chapter meeting. A selection of photos from the day are in the carousel below.

On Sunday, April 30th, more than 20 members gathered at the Westwood Neighborhood Greenway in West L.A. Our LA chapter chair, Charles Miller, organized a guided tour of the site. After the tour, volunteers stayed to help weed and maintain the area.

Biodiversity is under threat due to climate change, cultivation of non-native species, and many other factors. The Westwood Greenway was a community led project to create natural space filled with a diverse mix of native plants within our urban environment of West Los Angeles along the Expo line train. During our tour, we learned about how this stretch of urban habitat impacts biodiversity, energy, water, waste, pollution, and our local identity.
