On Monday, June 22, 2026, at 7:30 PM PDT, the LA Legislative Committee will host our virtual monthly meeting to advance our 2026 Legislative Priorities. This session, our committee is focused on five key pillars:
Clean Energy & Decarbonization: Championing SB 222 and SB 868 to streamline heat pump permitting and expand “plug-and-play” balcony solar access for renters and multifamily residents.
Water Security: Strengthening regional resilience through AB 2026, which accelerates groundwater recharge during wet seasons.
Environmental Justice: Establishing health-based air quality standards for toxic hydrogen sulfide (SB 58) to protect frontline communities.
Accountability: Demanding transparency from large energy users via AB 1577, requiring data centers to report monthly energy and water consumption.
Biodiversity: Advocating for the California Grizzly Restoration Act (SB 1305).
