For our monthly chapter meeting, Marissa Roy, a Deputy Attorney General for California and candidate for LA City Attorney, will join us to discuss climate advocacy and resistance in the face of a federal government that is rolling back civil rights and undermining democracy while undoing decades of climate work.
As an attorney in the LA City Attorney’s Office, outside counsel for the County of Los Angeles and in her current role for the state, she has fought against worker exploitation, wrongful evictions, and the Trump Administration’s anti-immigrant policies.
We will be also be joined by Meredith Erin, co-founder of Boredwalk, an LA-based small business that brings together humor, art, and design.
