Join us for an Ocean Friendly Garden workday to learn about native plants, nature based solutions for rainwater harvesting, and how our watersheds are connected to the ocean!
This is a great opportunity to learn about the history and significance of the Kuruvungna Village Springs site, a historic Tongva village & gathering place with an active freshwater spring. The Gabrielino-Tongva Springs Foundation has done awesome work restoring native plants to the site, and it is a wonderful example of how our landscapes can restore biodiversity and work with nature to protect clean water.
