Earth Day Celebration, "Committed to Creating Climate-Resilient Communities," at West Los Angeles College on April 22, 2023, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Sponsored by Greener Way Associates.

The event will begin with a press event to celebrate the opening of the CA Center for Climate Change Education. Assemblymember Isaac G. Bryan, who sponsored the bill making funds for the Center possible, will be the featured speaker. Mayor Karen Bass is expected to provide remarks as well, along with the Los Angeles Community College District Chancellor and WLAC's President. The Center is a first-of-its-kind, forward-looking resource that will help prepare students for good-paying, fulfilling careers in the clean energy and climate technology industries.
