California Botanic Garden (Claremont)
To celebrate Spring and the unification of the Los Angeles and Riverside chapters of Climate Reality, we hosted a free picnic and botanical garden tour at the California Botanic Garden in Claremont. More than two dozen people attended the event.
The California Botanic Garden focuses exclusively on plants native to California. The massive “living museum” includes 22,000 plants across 86 acres.
LA Climate Reality’s Chapter Chair, Charles Miller — a native plants expert — gave a guided tour, sharing interesting details about many of the trees and flowers on display in the gardens.
Check out a slideshow from the the tour below. Thanks to chapter member Andrew C. Ellis for sharing photographs he took at the event.
