Marketing & Communications Committee

The Marketing & Communications Committee aims to expand the reach of the chapter by telling resonant stories about the chapter: who we are, what we’re doing and how people can get involved. If you are someone who is comms or tech savvy with social media, graphics, art and design or have no experience at all, but willing to learn, please join our committee by filling out the form below.

LEADERSHIP

Tara Barauskas

Tara Barauskas, Co-Chair, M&C Committee

Tara grew up learning a love for nature through scouting and camping, and when she found her career path in affordable housing, she found a natural way to apply her passion for the environment by building green buildings. Tara currently runs a nonprofit called Community Corporation of Santa Monica, which builds affordable housing in high opportunity areas.

Tara also has created eco programs at her kids’ schools to build a love of the planet for the younger generation.

Tara became a trained Climate Reality Leader in 2018 and served as Chapter Co-Chair from 2022 to 2023.
