Hello Climate Reality LA Chapter Members,

Please JOIN US at our Quarterly Chapter Meeting on Saturday, July 27. It will be a great opportunity to meet and greet fellow chapter members, find out what everyone is doing this summer and get a bit of chapter business done. In addition, we're excited to share that the theme of the meeting is Making A Difference – One Person/One Action At A Time.

Our special guest speaker is Sheila Morovati, Founder of Habits of Waste (HoW), who spearheaded the ban on single-use plastic straws and cutlery in Malibu.

About Sheila Morovati
Sheila Morovati is the founder of Habits of Waste (HoW), an organization based on the principle that YOU MATTER and collective impact is created by individual action. HoW is dedicated to protecting the planet by changing societal habits that are harmful due to the enormous waste they generate. Case in point: Sheila and HoW were the catalyst for the groundbreaking ban on plastic straws, utensils and stirrers in the City of Malibu. HoW was born out of the success of Sheila's first inspiring organization, CrayonCollection.org, that has kept millions of used crayons out of landfills by collecting and donating them to school systems, including the LAUSD.
